Our Journey to Trullo Olivia

We are an Italian couple currently living and working in Switzerland, with a passion for traveling and discovering new places. During the pandemic, the closure of borders led us to choose Puglia as our holiday destination.

Gianluca spent a short period of his childhood living in a trullo in Locorotondo, and he still vividly remembers the towering height of the cone. For me, it was my first time visiting this enchanting part of Italy. Falling in love with the Itria Valley and its unique charm was immediate—love at first sight.

For some time, we had dreamed of finding a house in the countryside: a place immersed in nature, yet close to all essential services. We considered several other captivating regions of our beautiful country, from Tuscany to Sicily. However, when we arrived in Alberobello, we instantly knew this was the place to start our search.

After two years of exploration, we finally found Trullo Olivia.

And so, our new adventure as hosts begins.
